OATLANDS Heritage Hwy.

Oatlands is also situated on the Heritage Hwy and has a strong rural back ground with a number of heritage buildings reflecting of the convict past in the area. The main historic building is the Carrington flour mill where people of the town would gather there flour and make there bread each morning. There is also the Casaveen knitwear and café where you can see the wool straight from the sheep's back going through the process of being turned into a garment.

Near Oatlands on the highway there are about 30 topiary sculptures of mostly animals. You can spot some these as you are driving along or stop at the picnic area and take a walk so you can spot the great work.
