Winter in Tasmania is a great time to travel. Everything is green, the rivers are running wild, the water falls are flowing and the native animals are more active. If you are on the waters there is a good chance you will see whales, if your in the mountains there is a good chance you will play in the snow. What ever you like to do now is the best time (except sun baking). Oh, did I mention it is also cheaper!
Because not many people know how beautiful and what a great time it is to travel in Tasmania you will find it to be a lot cheaper and quieter.
The only down side is you might have to buy an extra jumper.

These rates are an all inclusive rate with a standard insurance excess of $2500.00. You may reduce excess to $400.00 by paying an extra $20.00 per day.
Days are calculated per calendar day or part there off – the day you pick the van up is day one regardless of time and the day you return the van is the last day of rental regardless of time.

Peak Season - December, January, February
Shoulder Season – March, April, September, October, November
Off Peak Season – May, June, July. August
The minimum hirer 16th January to 14th December is 5 days . – If you are planning a shorter stay please enquire.
Minimum hirer 15th December to 15th January is 10 days.
Minimum age is 21 years

Insurance
Standard comprehensive insurance is included in the daily rental rate, a standard vehicle security deposit of $2500.00 applies. On collection of the vehicle the hiree agrees to leave a vehicle security deposit and authorizes the hirer to deduct from the security deposit any amounts due by them to the hirer arising out of the agreement. The Vehicle Security Deposit (excess) can be reduced by selecting the following option:
OPTION - by choosing to pay an extra AU$20.00 per day (maximum $1000.00) the insurance excess will be reduced to AU$400.00 which is held as the hirer's security deposit. The AU$400.00 is taken as an authorization on your credit card.
Cancellation Policy
If canceled the following fees apply:
- 30 days and beyond before pick up - $55.00 cancellation fee
- 29 days to 7 days before pick up - $200.00 (deposit amount)
- 6 days to 0 days before pick up and including no show - 50% of gross rental with a minimum of $250.00
If vehicle is returned early no refund is available.
