Aussie Dollar Standard / Back Packer Van – the cheapest of our vans but also the oldest ranging between 1992 – 1996 model Toyota Commuters. They are however well maintained and serviced every 10,000 km's.

The standard / Back Packer Van is basic but comfortable. This van sleeps 2 people (3 if you are friendly). It has the most comfortable bed of all the vans featuring a permanently made double bed with spring mattress and storage underneath.

This van is a flat top camper seat belted for 3 passengers in the front and is a manual drive. You do your cooking under the cover of the tailgate on a 2 burner gas cooker.

Insurance

Standard comprehensive insurance is included in the daily rental rate, a standard vehicle security deposit of $2500.00 applies. On collection of the vehicle the hiree agrees to leave a vehicle security deposit and authorizes the hirer to deduct from the security deposit any amounts due by them to the hirer arising out of the agreement. The Vehicle Security Deposit (excess) can be reduced by selecting the following option:

OPTION - by choosing to pay an extra AU$20.00 per day (maximum $1000.00) the insurance excess will be reduced to AU$400.00 which is held as the hirer's security deposit. The AU$400.00 is taken as an authorization on your credit card.

Cancellation Policy

If canceled the following fees apply:

  • 30 days and beyond before pick up - $55.00 cancellation fee
  • 29 days to 7 days before pick up - $200.00 (deposit amount)
  • 6 days to 0 days before pick up and including no show - 50% of gross rental with a minimum of $250.00

If vehicle is returned early no refund is available.
